Living Expenses

Charles Sturt University campuses are located in smaller cities of Albury, Bathurst and Wagga Wagga. Your living expenses would be considerably lower than living expenses in a bigger city like Adelaide or Sydney.
Approximate annual living expenses: A $ 12,000

Part-Time Work Facts

• You must apply for a work visa following enrolment at CSU

• 20 hours per week work is the maximum amount allowed during study periods

• Full time work is permitted during holidays

• The employment market is competitive and there is no guarantee of finding work

• Student employment offered is often manual labour such as fruit picking and seasonal work

The low cost of living and tuition fees at CSU reduce the need to work. It is strongly recommended that students have access to sufficient funds for tuition fees and do not rely on being able to find work.

For undergraduate courses

• a student must have completed secondary school (Class 12th/Inter-II) with satisfactory scores.
• a student must have an over all band score of  6.0 with no individual band less than 5.5 in IELTS.

For postgraduate courses

• each department has their individual requirements. Most courses require a student to have completed a bachelor degree with satisfactory scores.
• Postgraduate by coursework: student must have an over all band score of  6.0 with no individual band less than 5.5 in IELTS.
• Postgraduate by research: student must have an over all band score of  6.5 with no individual band less than 6.0 in IELTS.
• For MBA program, work experience is not compulsory.

Important:

1. Indian students require an IELTS score for Australian visa even if they have taken TOEFL.
2. Indian students have to show six months bank statement with required funds to get an Australian visa.
