Established in
1974, Deakin University is one of Australia’s most progressive and visionary
universities. Awarded the prestigious ‘Australian University of the Year’
award in 1995/1996 for its “use of technology in teaching and learning”
and again in 1999/2000, for “outstanding partnerships and training.”
§ The University is also ranked in the top band of Australian
universities by the Australian Government’s Committee for Quality Assurance in Higher
Education.
§ Based in the state of Victoria, the University has
five campuses- two in Melbourne, two in Geelong and one in Warrnambool.
§ It offers both graduate and post graduate courses
in five academic faculties – Arts, Business & Law, Education, Health &
Behavioural science and Science & Technology.

Living
Expenses (Approx.) A$ 12000 per year.
For
undergraduate courses
- a student must have completed secondary school
(Class 12th/Inter-II) with satisfactory scores.
- a student must have an over all band score of
6.0 with no individual band less than 6.0 in IELTS.
For postgraduate courses
- each department has their individual requirements.
Most courses require a student to have completed a bachelor degree with satisfactory
scores.
- a student must have an over all band score of
6.5 with no individual band less than 6.0 in IELTS.
Important:
- Indian students require an IELTS score for
Australian visa even if they have taken TOEFL.
- Indian students have to show six months bank
statement with required funds to get an Australian visa.
