MBA - Contact Centre Management
This course is specifically designed for those wishing to either establish or sustain a successful managerial or professional business career, with specific reference to the rapidly growing contact centre industry. You must have at least two years of appropriate work experience, although that this doesn't need to be in the contact centre industry. The programme enables you to combine a broad general and strategic management programme of studies, to be found in most MBA programmes, with more specialist studies in operations and change management within the contact centre industry.
You will spend the first semester studying with the students on the general MBA programme in order to establish a sound and comprehensive understanding of management theory and the main business functions, such as marketing, finance and human resource management. In the second semester, you will study aspects of strategic management alongside these general MBA students, and in addition, you take specialist classes on contact centre management focusing on operations management and change management. Your dissertation research will need to focus on an aspect or issue within the context of contact centre management and the Business School will be able to assist you in gaining any necessary access to the large contact centre industry in the North West region. You are expected to take an active role in class sessions and also to work in small groups to analyse and discuss business problems and situations. Assessment is mainly through coursework assignments.
