About the course:

• The University of Wolverhampton Business School’s MBA was one of the first to be awarded by a Higher Education establishment in the UK - it has been designed to meet the development needs of both UK and international graduates, managers and practitioners

• This full-time award has been designed to prepare and support students who wish to develop a career in general management, in specialist or functional management at a senior level, in management consultancy, or who wish to build and run their own business

• The award consists of individual modules, which build together into a comprehensive programme of advanced study covering functional knowledge, skills and specialist expertise, combined with a strongly integrative strategic core area of study

• Widely varied teaching and learning strategies are employed on the course, including the delivery of formal taught content, case study analysis, video presentation, and simulation and role play with both individual and team work

• Participants, normally drawn from many countries and cultures, are encouraged to contribute to the course and this rich mix of experience adds substantially to the learning experience

Eligibility:  

• Experience - Successful applicants will normally be over 23-years-old at the start of the programme and occupy, or have occupied, positions of management responsibility for a minimum of two years.

• Bachelor degree - You will also need to hold an Honours degree from a UK university or overseas equivalent, or a professional qualification considered equivalent to an appropriate Honours degree, or qualifications and experience considered equivalent to the above.

• English - A minimum IELTS score of 6.0 or TOEFL score of 550 (or 213 for the computer based test), for applicants whose native language is not English or who have not studied a degree programme in an English speaking country.

Note: Applicants who do not have a first degree or equivalent professional qualification and mature students with significant management experience who can demonstrate previous non-certified learning equivalent to the above are also welcome to apply - in such cases, admission to the programme will be based on an evaluation of your ability to contribute to, benefit from, and achieve the award.
